Allegations that emerge in Harvey Weinstein’s sexual assault cases

“his story, at its core, is about work, and it can’t be measured by a criminal court.” – The New York Times.

Let us examine the number of incidents of assault that would qualify Harvey Weinstein to be referred to as a sexual assaulter.

Harvey Weinstein, a powerful film producer, has faced allegations of sexual assault and harassment by over 100 women since 2011.

At least eight women have received settlements from Mr. Weinstein after he was accused of sexual harassment and unwanted physical contact, according to two company officials who wished to remain anonymous. Here’s how this story emerged.

Let’s examine the allegations individually:

  1. Amber Anderson
A 25-year-old British actress from “Strike: The Cuckoo’s Calling” disclosed that the disgraced movie mogul acted inappropriately during a hotel meeting when she was 20.

“He told me not to tell anyone I was alone with him, told me if I did it might affect my “opportunities”.”

Anderson says that Weinstein touched her leg, and she left the room immediately.

2. Lysette Anthony

Lysette Anthony, a well-known actor from “Hollyoaks,” has shared her account of an alleged sexual assault she experienced at the hands of Harvey Weinstein in her London flat during the 1980s. She has revealed that the traumatic incident has had a lasting impact on her.

Weinstein subjected her to such a traumatic experience not once, but twice. It’s especially distressing that the second rape occurred in the very hotel room where she was staying during the Cannes Film Festival.

3. Asia Argento

Asia Argento shared that Weinstein had forcibly performed oral sex on her and she feared that he would ruin her career if she spoke out. Argento had kept silent all these years because she knew that Weinstein had the power to crush people’s careers, and she did not want to be one of his victims.

On May 19, 2018, Italian actress Asia Argento attended the 71st Cannes Film Festival’s closing ceremony and the screening of “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote” in Cannes, France.

4. Rosanna Arquette

According to Rosanna Arquette’s account, he presented himself at her doorstep wearing a white bathrobe, requesting a massage. She claims that he forcefully grabbed her hand and attempted to coerce her into touching his erect penis. She alleges that she promptly withdrew her hand and refused his advances. In response, he warned her that she was “making a very big mistake.”
